Julie has 17 years of experience working with educators from pre-kindergarten through higher education. She is a National Board Certified Teacher of literacy and is a certified Reading Specialist. Julie also has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Professional Development. She maintains a dual focus of literacy learning and professional growth design in her consulting work.

Julie is a national presenter and is skilled at leading both large and small groups. She has particular expertise in the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and the Smarter Balanced Assessment System. Julie's current projects include writing coaching, performance task design, educator evaluation, teacher leadership, and professional learning systems. She blogs about education at LitCentric.com.
